I know I asked this question a year or so ago; but, here goes:

Where can I find a new set of 15 x 7 Rally Rims for my 71 GS? Also, tires. I believe they had 60's all around when the car came from the factory. I don't know if I want to do this or not. I could use some input.

    Thanks.

do some searching on this site. there are several companies that sell the buick rallye rims. on 15 x 7 rims, u would mount 245r60 x 15 tires which would equate to the polyglas G60 x 15

Len- Get in touch with Dave at Mark Reeve's shop, aka "thepartsman" here on the board. He can get you the correct set for your car.

As far as tires, You gotta get the G60 Polyglas's for that car. They're crazy expensive, but it will make the car. Its only money, why stop spending now?

And post some pictures of the convert!! I havent seen it in years.

    Happy Thanksgiving!!

    Jason;

I will get in touch with Dave. I haven't done much to it since last spring. I got it running and have been waiting to get it to the body shop for paint. I will probably do some more over the winter. I have been boating most of the summer, another money pit, so I have neglected the Buick. Now that the boat is away for the winter, I can spend some time on the house and car.

    Talk to you soon.

Just reading this post now. If you still need some wheel/tire venders:

    Wheel Vintiques: http://wheelvintiques.com/
    or
    Specialty Wheels: http://www.specialtywheelsltd.org/buick-wheels.html
    EMAIL: sales@specialtywheelsltd.org
    Attn. Kelly

You can also try Hemmings or EBAY

As far as the tires go, Coker tire sells the reproduction tires. They advertise in all the car magazines. But unless you just got to have the vintage look, get the BF Goodrich Radial TA with the raised white lettering 245/60 X 15. They are fairly inexpensive and they are very popular with the old muscle cars as they look vintage but are radials. The big thing is they handle much better on the road than the old polyglass type. But if you got a trailer queen and or deep pockets (about $220 plus shipping each) get the old style. http://www.cokertire.com/ or here is a link to a vender (Summit) : http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch.asp?N=700+401511+115&autoview=prod

I can't believe how much those buick wheels are at wheel vintiques. I mean don't get me wrong...they look incredible but at almost $700 a piece, WOW! Maybe cuz I'm new to the world of Buick, I don't know what I got myself into.

Those would be the billet aluminum wheels for that price. They also sell the original steel rallye wheels which I'm sure are no more than $200 each.

Thanks for the link.....those are nice too. Sadly though I did not see a center cap for the Riviera, just the buick emblem one.

You might call Dennis at drzperformance (503-668-3013). He builds them with refurbished centers and new chrome rims. I bought mine from him and they're beautiful. They were $115 each plus shipping. They don't come with center caps.
