P275/60R-15 will fit but that tire should really be on an 8" or wider rim. That is for the 70-72 Skylark/GS.

1968 Buick GS400 Tire and wheel size

I'm looking at installing 15*8 rims with 4.5" BS on rear of car with 255/60 R15 BF Gooderich, and 17*8 with 4" BS ( if i can find some) in front with 215/70R15 BF Gooderich
Can someone let me know if this will be at same height total front and rear, and if this staggered tire size combinatino, as well as rims, if it will be an easy drop in on my 1968 Buick GS400? does anyone have this combination or better suggestins, i do not want to modify vehicule for tire fittings Thank you in advance

The 255/60R15 are 27.0" tall and the 215/70R15 are 26.9" tall so basically the same. Did you mean 15x8 with 4" BS for the front? You wrote 17x8, but said 15" tire.

Not sure about what will fit on a 68 GS. Hopefully, someone will chime in to help.

really not very good at this, good thing my driving skills are better

Front rims are to be 15*7 / 4.0" BS, and rear 15*8 / 4.5" BS

The 68-69 Skylark/GS is gonna like more back spacing in the back to center the tire in the wheel well. More like 5" on the 15 X 8" rim. Not sure about the front.

Here's mine with 245/60 in the back. Perfect size for my taste. Do agree with Larry on 68-9 needing a little more backspace. I think it would look good if it was kicked out just a tad
