Hello I have located some 15x7buick rally rims for my 69 riv but the guy says the bolt pattern is different from a skylark to a riv. Is this correct? I want two 15x7's in the rear!!

    thanks, will

    Adam,
    Are the big car 15 X 6, or 15 X 7? I always thought they were 15 X 6. Does a big car 15 X 7, 5 on 5, actually exist. Just curious.

Wagons from the late 70's to early 80's used 15x7's, maybe other years too, not sure. That is what I have on the 225.

    otter It'll be done someday.

You will also note that the hole for the center cap is a different size on the 1971 and newer 5 on 5 full size car wheels compared to the 1970 and earlier full size car wheels. I found this out when I bought a set of center caps brand new still in the GM boxes at a swap meet. I went to put them on my rims and they were to big, so I spent the afternoon with a grinding stone on the end of a drill and hogged out the hole till they fit. If you see the 2 styles of center cap you will never mistake them for the other. I always note at a car show when a Riv, Electra, or Lesabre are wearing the wrong generation wheels. I don't say anything out loud because I don't want to cut someone's car down in front of others. That would be rude, and I wasn't raised that way, but I do take personal pride in knowing the difference. Unless of course I was competing against the guy with the wrong wheels, then I would mention it to the judges.

71 and up are 2" wheel center openings

    70 and earlier are 2 1/8"
