I am hoping that someone has a set of widened stock rims that they would sell to get the 15X10 rims that are available. I could go to that wide of a rim, but only need the 8" width. Thanks all... Mike
Can someone point to the company that will widen stock 15X7 rims and how much they charge? Thanks, Mike
Mike, I know you can buy them direct from Speciality Wheels ( http://www.specialtywheelsltd.org/ ) . Not widened, but newly made rims. I just priced 15X8's at $146 each and 15X10's at $189 each, plus shipping. I am hoping that someone may be wanting to get them 10 inchers, and give a nice price on the 8's that are no longer needed. Mike
Thanks Mike, I did know about Speciality Wheels and I will contact them to see what they will charge to widen them. Might just be cheaper to buy new ones! Mike
Another source Wheels Vintique also sells Buick rims in a variety of sizes. Their website is www.wheelvintiques.com and you need to click on their catalog link and look for wheel #57. Attached is a pic of what their catalog shows. The 15x8s are $148 and the 15x10s are $178. Summit also carries these exact same wheels but at a lower price. Check'em out.
Talked to the folks from Speciality Wheel and while they will widen your wheels, it is more expensive then buying theirs. Never completed the final price but they basically would have to replace the center section so about all you would be supplying is the outer wheel. Now it would have the right part number stamp if that was important. Say for a WG wheel on a 70 GSX. Not completely sure why you would do that on Rallyes except if you were trying to fool the judge. Prices are as quoted and they can ship out right away. Do require backspacing for the 10" wheels. Anyone know what a non-modified car can take? Mike
How about a 73 Boattail, anyone been down that road............would I have to have them widen them or is the back spacing the same as for a GS car. I dont think its the same.........
I run the 15x10's on my car with 325/50R15 DragRadials. My backspacing is 5-5/8". You will have to trim the top of the fenderwell about 1/4" to 3/8" to insure proper clearance with that tire.
