HI, WANT TO PUT 15X8 WHEELS WITH 255-60-15 TIRES ON MY 72 SPORT WAGON. I AM ALSO GOING TO USE A HOTKIS SPRING KIT TO LOWER THE CAR 1 TO 1 AND A HALF INCHES. THE OFFSET CHOICES ARE 4.5 AND 5.5. CAN I DO THIS THANKS FOR THE HELP. GLENN
I have 15x8 custom made Buick rally wheels with 4.5 inch backspacing and 255-60-15 tires on the rear of my 72 Skylark Custom convertible - a great look and fit. For the front of your Buick you would probably not want to use 15x8 as it may rub when turning - I have 15x7s with 4.5 inch backspacing and 255-60-15 tires in the front. My Buick has the stock suspension and is not lowered.
15x7 with 4.25 bs and 245-60-15s or even 235-60-15s with the 1 inch lowering springs would be more desireable
