I'm in the same boat. Good bases and passenger pad, rips in the driver pads I have. I hear an upholstery shop can do a nice job of re-covering the pads though, so I'm going to look into that one of these days. I bought a repro black driver pad about a year ago, wasn't a very good fit, mis-shapen a bit, so screws weren't long enough to get a good start into the base. It's kind of a heavy rubbery material. I haven't tossed it out yet...

Doug, I agree, the bases look very good. I just couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the Buy It Now price. Makes me wonder what the reserve is, and tells me I may as well not bother placing a bid. Oh well, not a big deal, maybe someone will pony up for them for Dan.
Just going on what I have seen Sorry guys just going on what I have seen on ebay, last set I seen on here went for 154.50 and he was a board member, not trying to gouge anyone just following the tribe, who knows may not go over 50.00 if it don't sell make me offers, I would say they are excellant shape better than many I have seen and I have the back chrome plates for them too not in that good of cond.but if you don't have any they are better than none they were going with the armrests as a suprise free. o No: Check my feedback on Ebay I try to make everyone happy and sell quality parts.
Wow, I guess I missed the $154 set. I usually keep a pretty sharp eye out here for stuff that fits my 68. Dan, I hope you don't feel I was bashing you on the B.I.N. price, I was just really shocked when I saw it. I don't think I've personally seen a good set reach $100, but I certainly don't see every sale either. The bases with pads, with back plates included maybe isn't too bad of a price, considering there are no 16" base repros available, and many used ones have broken or cracked mounts. How are the mounting bosses on these bases?
no problem Dave no problem Its hard to express what you are saying on a comp. its not like in person or on the phone I understand what you mean, sticker shock:eek2: the last armrest were GKMOZ,s I hope he don't mind me saying that sorry Gary, I was floored when I seen that on ebay but it happens, its the need on parts that people do not want to go out and look for, they would rather sit at home and just buy it no matter what, they pay the price, in the old days it was called Lazy, well Dave the armrest chrome plates are chipped a little on the edges and faded a little but there better than nothing, Oh and Dave I sold another set of the 16" armrests maybe a year and a half ago for 112.00 they went over my reserve of 80.00 alot of people have money out there and don't know what to do with it thanks Dan.
16 inch armrests I've sold two sets,one set went to Sweden,they were blue with backing plates! they were like new! for 105.00 and shipiing to sweden WOW!!!! then near christmas i sold a black set on ebay for 154.00 go figure!! it also depends on the timing on ebay!! its a crap shoot on ebay! yes i make money! nothing wrong with that!how else could any of us afford our cars and add ons?
