Has anyone put 17" wheels on a 73 Stage 1 before? I want to use 255 45 17s on 17x8 rims on the front and 295 45 17s on 17x10 on the rear. I have measured and think they will fit, but before I buy everything I thought I'd run it by V8 guys and get your opinion. I've got to move quickly to get them before the Power Tour comes to Okolhoma in June. Thanks, Pat

Those sizes should fit without any issues HOWEVER.... You will need the right backspace on the wheels to make it work. Do some measuring and find out the stock backspacing. Also find out the width of the stock wheel and then you will know if it has a "offset" either positive which means the wheel is further to the inside of the wheel well... Or if it is a negative offset the wheel will be further towards the outside of the car. If your stock wheels are centered in the wheel wells and you copy the offset from them then your wheels should fit great.

Basically if you got from a stock wheel that is 7" wide and has a 4" backspace then you would need a 4.5" backspace with a 8" wheel since only 0.5" is added to each side of the wheel. Normally wheels are ordered based on the backspacing so do the math and order the right ones.
