I'm wanting to run 18" x 9" on the rear and 18" x 8" on the front. Can anyone tell me the proper BS and largest tire that can be use on a stock suspension on a 1970 GS using this setup?

    Thanks!

I would suggest a 4.5" backspace on 8" fronts, and 5.5" on the rear. You can always use a spacer if you have a little too much back space, but if you don't have enough, you have to start over with different wheels.
    By the way, I have 17x8 w/ 245/45 Nitto 555 fronts and 18x9.5 w/ 295/45 Nitto 555 rears.
Also, if want some wheels to get attention, you may want to look at wheels other than the Cragar or Torq Thrust IIs. These are pretty common, imho.
