oh ya it needs tones of work. How much do you thing the trime would be with its all there and the only thing is there is a dent in the bumper.

The Rockers are rusted through. Thats an Easy Fix. How much rust through do You have? What kind of shape are the Floor Pans.
You Just Got to Love That Grille. The 54 Was the Last Year Buick used the Bar Grille. The Following Years a Mesh Grille was Used. Love that toothy look with an overbite. The car has nice lines. I just hope you didn't bite off more than you can chew. LQQKS like a lot of body work involved.

Best of luck with Your new Project.

Its actually not my car its a friends cusins car that he bought for $100cnd we just pulled it out of the bush. We were going to just tow it home but the back wheels were locked up so we tryed to pull it up on to a trailer with a come-along and snaped the steel cable. So we just skidded it to hes house. The floor is roted and all the brown spots are preety must all rust and the headlight bezels mounting in rotted one feel of on the way home.

Is it a standard shift? A lot of good parts there if it's to far gone to fix. The side stainless trim might bring $100 U.S.

It looks like a parts car to me. Fixing all the rust out will cost more than the cost of a rust free one from a southern state. But it would be a great parts car for you if you could fond a good body.

I agree with BJR - parts car with lots of useable stuff. Find a good body somewhere (Special or Century) and you will have more than enough to get the $100 back ten-fold.

    Good luck,

    54 Special and Century

I love that year and model. My first Buick was a 54 Special and I absolutely fell in love with it. I put a 56 Century 322 engine and the stronger 56 stick trans in it and the car was "very fast" in the early 1960's.It beat every 390 Ford I raced and many more of that era.If I had another 54, I would put a good 65 or 66 401/425 nailhead in it with a switch pitch 400 trans and a good strong leaf spring rearend with traction bars. I would paint it the blue color you see on some 71/72 GSX cars and seal ALL the rust prone areas with Eastwood's special rust stopping paint, even if I had to use 50 pounds of bondo.
It is possable to attatch a 1980's Regal frame/suspension to the front of the old beast. With the leaf sprung rear end you could end up with all modern brakes, springs, wheels, etc, for safety and convienence as well as the 455 or bulldog engine.
The 400 trans may fit better if a long tailshaft is used. Not sure though.
