I know my car is something a guy from down south would probably junk, but here in upstate NY its actually in OK shape. Its my daily driver so I have to pick my projects for it one at a time because I need it to get to work! Its pretty much the way I got it exept for I put new gaskets on the engine and painted some of the parts when I did that. My next plans are to junk that stupid seat when I find a good replacement and maybe paint the floors with something.

My 61 Electra had gauges added the same way as yours!

I love the water faucet handle under the hood.

Is your driver's front window cracked or just a line in the photo?

The tubing bender hood support was a dealer option in '61. Nice touch.

Yeah the tubing bender came free with the car! Actually the hinges are pretty shot and bent up, im in the process of buying some now though.. The only glass that has a crack is the passenger front vent window.

Wow, thats a sweet looking car. needs some windows though, but the body looks solid, i wish mine were that solid.

Thanks, the car is quite solid and runs fantastic with a freshly rebuilt motor. I will be selling it soon, too bad you aren't closer.

I have the window thing taken care of, I have this 61 invicta I bought from FL two months ago that I will be parting out in the next month or two when time permits.

Thats incredible, that black one looks better than my car to! I love the 4 door hardtops. In Upstate NY a car that solid would never be parted, lol.

The black (or maybe dark blue, I haven't looked that close) one is in decent shape, runs and drives. has very restorable rust (by east coast standards), but it excessive by west coast standards, lol. If we can see a hole, we part it out. Not really, but there isn't a lot of demand for 4 door 61 invicta's out here. I actually paid $500 for the car, and $1k to ship it here from FL. I had planned on pulling the 401 engine and tranny for another 61 I have that has a 364 in it. That isn't going to happen now.

Wow man, I cant believe you paid 500 for that, it would be 2500 easy up here.

I found some old hubcaps I forgot i had and slapped them on my buick, looks better now I think. Anyone know what year Buick these are from? They are dirty because I drove in the rain a bit with them after I put them on. They shine like a mirror when clean.

Not sure what those are, but you need some 61 caps like these!

Nuttin wrong with that car. The guy doing my body work has a 60 in his yard for 1200 and its worse than yours.

That is a 61 and unless its a total rust bucket it is worth considerably more than $1,200 as it sits.

Just spent 4 hours in the 99 degree heat taking thinner to the trim and bumpers where the guy that last owned it got that terrible blue paint overspray on it. What a job in that heat, but it looks so much better now. I was so worried about doing the tail light lenses with the thinner but it came right off with no damage to the lenses. got dark so i didnt take pics yet.

I like the idea of a "daily driver project car", keep us posted !

Next time when you post photos, hit the Enter key after pasting each link.
If you do that, the images will not show next to each other.

And with big photos it's better to use the thumbnail code, found under your photos in your Photobucket album :TU:

I noticed that you didn't activate the thumbnail option ( check the box that says thumb[/b] in your album settings),
it's not showing up when you move the cursor over the images:
