Yea, It's not a buick, but maybe I'll have some luck if I ask here...

My Dad had a '62 'bird years ago, and he has always had a soft spot for it. He sold it when we traveled overseas when he was in the military.

He's reached the age where a lifetime of hard work is beginning to pay off, and he's looking for a play toy.

Requirements are a decent 1/2 way rust free body, and basically complete trim and interior.... Just a solid starting point for a back yard resto.

Looking to spend between $750 to $2500, depending on condition

PM me, as I travel for a living, and cant always check up here as often as I like.

    Thanks,
    Darryl

    Hi Darryl,
For the longest time there was a '62 Bird here for sale in your price range but it appears that not anymore. There is a '63 here, but its out of your price range.

The place to check may just be http://www.tbirdforum.com/forums/ . You've got to register, but it might just be worth it.

    Thanks Eric,
Looks to be a good resource. I checked it out.
Not much activity there as the majority of the posts are over a year old.

Here is one more that either fit or came close to fitting your criteria. ITs amazing that you can get a project car for 1200 and turn around and sell it for over 30 grand.

I've been keeping an eye on these since I was a teenager and helped restore my Grand dad's for my brother. First...I highly recommend that you buy one that is done or very nice original. Expect to pay between 5500 and 10K. Second..I highly recommend having the front end checked out before you buy. The ball joints and idler arm were mighty hard to find at the time I did it, and ended up costing a pile to have put on. Try hmn.com and collectorcartraderonline.com. There's a nice looking beige one at Bud Ward's Antique cars in Little Rock. I haven't had the nerve to stop and see what they want...I have enough cars, haha. I hope this helps. Dan
