I have a 1963 Buick Wildcat Convertible (white exterior) with bucket seats (red interior) and a rare four speed on the floor from the factory. This Wildcat has a 401 C.I.D. Nailhead motor. One of eight made, car runs, needs restoration. Frame is excellent. Has all the Wildcat medallions and Wildcat lettering on the hood and trunk. I have an interest in selling this car but do not know the real value of it. Car was seen by a Buick dealer and I was informed that it's a true factory 4-speed car. Can someone be of help out there and inform me of it's value? I also have a 1963 Buick Wildcat 2 Door, automatic with air. Has a blown motor, bearsing spun, motor seized. Body not bad, restoreable, power windows, power aentenna, all the bells and whistles from Buick. Can someone please let me know what the value of this car is too. Thanks, Dave
I will give you 500.00 for it.LOL.I would think what you are asking is about impossible to answer without someone seeing some real detailed photos as to its current condition.Everything like rust or not,how much rust if present, body or frame damage, frame rust issues, likely if its a convert. Many factors would have to be known before someone could give you even a ballpark guess.
1963 Wildcat Convertible Hi Bruce, I would put it as a #4 car needing total restoration. Frame is good, doors are good, body needs sheet metal work, but it does run. Motor and tranny do work. Thanks, Dave
Looks like going on the VMR guides you are looking at around 4000.00 dollars, they are only a guide of course,it says 3600.00 for a Number 4 and I think add 10% for a the 4 speed.I would say you would add more for the 4 speed being it is pretty rare in a 63 I would think.I cannot tell you any more than that but maybe someone else can help more if you can post a couple pics.
Are you looking for a value in its current condition, or as a #1 restored car? Some finnished 64s I have seen have been priced from $23K to 48K depending on the quality of the car, either from restoration, or as an original low milage vehicle. Just be prepared for some big dollar repair bills if the 4 speed is in trouble. You have next to nothing for parts availablity. WildBill or Ted Nagel are the resident Wildcat guru's. You may want to pick thier brains
1963 Buick Wildcat Dave Mark is in the ball park, I also have a 63 Wildcat (4639) with factory 4 speed, there were only 30 Wildcat 4 speeds in 1963, 18 - 4 doors and 12 two doors to include the convertibles. My Queen Mary III is insured for 25,000 dollars and the car needs to be repaint to bring it's maximum value.
Hi All My name is Mike & I just joined V8buick, looks like a great site! I own a 1963 wildcat red conv. for 15 years & I'm looking for a 2nd one with a 4 speed, can anyone help? Thanks, Mike
There was a guy on this board who just recently had a 64 4 speed convert for sale. I dont think it was sold yet :TU:
Hi Mike, a 63 Vert Cat with 4 speed are hard to come by since there was only like 6 made in 1963. 1964 and 65 are a little easier to find.
Hey Louie Starting to do body work in my trunk and was wondering if you had any pictures of your '63 trunk. I want to get it to original and by the looks of your car it will be that. Thanks, Randy
Randy, I will try to take some pictures for you as soon as I can. Been raining here every morning since last Friday. Here are some pictures I had taken a while back.
