fishing and car 019.jpg An old friend has asked me to help her sell her Riviera. Her former husband restored the car with alot of parts and time. Bare body repaint, rebuilt engine and trans, new interior, new rubber, new brakes, exhaust, lights and more. Any help with price? I'm a Porsche man but know these cars from high school.

    Thanks
    Gary

Ballpark on a good day for a #1 would be around 30k. This car I doubt would bring anything close to that due to the non original parts and material used in the restoration. Tom

    Is the motor a 401 or 425? Of the 40000 63's made, only 2601 came with a 425.

Most nice non 1965 GS 1st generation Rivieras have a high of $20,000. I am an ROA member and teack prices and monitor posts on other forums relating to value.

This would be best marketed through ebay or by posting an ad in the ROA's bi-monthly magazine Riview. Jason Z might chime in as well but I remember a recent discussion and I believe ROA's 63-65 Technical Advisor chimed in and said high value for 63-65 was $20,000.

Most don't remember that they made 40,000 1963 Rivieras making them "not rare". I can buy a 63-64 at any price point any day of the week so the seperation comes from originality, quality of restoration, color is big, leather interior on 63's etc.
