Well.. George N. turned me onto this C/L car this morning..so I followed up. wow. What can I say? This car was nice at one time. I remember spotting it prolly 15 years ago not too far from my home. Altho it was in considerably MUCH better shape than it is now, its pretty much still complete. but rather UGLEEEE.
Hereya go: most of the stainless trim is intact. The windshield top stainless is complete, fairly decent, unbusted, unsmashed condition. The vert top/frame mechanism is ok, I saw some rust issues on the one of the rails but the top header bow appears excellent and the whole unit moves up & down with little manual effort. NO power top. Pinchweld trim is also very nice. Snaps are all there. Back window probably needs replacing. :Brow:
Front grille looked nice, altho now that I see these pix, me thinks it might be bent on the passenger side..nevertheless, it was pretty decent up close. Headlite besels are all there as are the sig turnals.
Stainless W I D E seat trimmings all look pretty good, and I would think, are usable.
Dash is complete, instruments are usable. Steering wheel shows typical cracks but no huge missing chunkx.
    ..more details inna minit. BRB.

    k, I'm back!

Original V6..like what, maybe 200 ci? COMPLETE with carb, exhaust man's, brackets, really surprised this car hasnt been disturbed from its originality.
The radiator is going into my sons '62..it appears it will work anyway.

2 speed 'glide' tranny. and prolly a switch pitch type convertor...? Drivetrain is complete and I will assume, original.

Chassis from what I could see trying NOT to smash my head into ant infested dirt & mud parking lot... looks alright too. Couldnt identify any rust thru issues altho miles of surface rust/flakes are present.

Bumpers, taillights, trunk trim is all there.

Here's my think'n. Seller doesnt want to bother parting this car out himseff. He wants someone else to do the grunt work. He is is asking $850 which is about $699 more than its worth IMHO. Yes, there are a lot of usable parts for the right guys..YOU GUYS!
SO because I'd really hate to see this car & whatever good parts are needed, being shipped to Korea as 3000 lb, 20x20x20 inch block of scrap metal. Know whut I mean!?

If there is enuf interest for parts, I offered to drag it home, part out whatever parts would come off, and give him $400 and whatever is left of the hulk, for scrap. Fair enuf, right?

So, what do you guys think??? Need any parts?
