1964 4 speed GTO

66 motor and some rust issues but sweet car.

 

My first car was gonna be one of these. 389 triple carb, 3-speed stick in their version of Bamboo Cream. $800. My dad said I’d kill myself in it. So I bought a 67 Wildcat convertible for $35 instead. Best money I ever spent.

 

I like it. The GTO’s sure seem to bring the money considering they are certainly not rare. A friend is looking for a 67 GTO, preferably black or dark blue if you know of any.

 

My buddies and I were just turning 15 when they came out, They were the absolute bomb!
My dad wanted one, but my mom intervened.
But the next year my dad told her about this beautiful new Buick called a GranSport!
She thought it was pretty as well and they bought it.
1965 Skylark GS 401/325 horse Astro blue top and interior and white bottom thin pillar coupe.
I had a chance to buy it back when I got out of the Marines for $900 bucks and moved on to a 71 Chevelle 454 instead.

Have NEVER seen that color combo, sounds nice! Did your Mom pick the colors?

Actually, No She didn't it was a dealership Demo car.
It was a really pretty car, especially after I replaced the whitewalls with black walls and the Buick mags!
And for whatever reason? She was quick as all get out! not many could beat her!
