Hey Guys, Sharing here a rare car that someone here might find interesting. It isn't my car nor am I affiliated with the seller. I did speak to him... seems like a nice guy. Hard to argue with the price in my point of view. Especially knowing what I have in mine https://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/cto/d/1964-buick-wildcat/6340851156.html Thanks, Matt-
So I'm curious... is nobody on this forum interested in posts like these? Super rare car. Not a comment in days. Hello... anyone there? Forum, hellooooooooooooo....... I hear an echo.
Well I agree -- if it's a TX car and not full of surprise, you would be hard pressed to buy a decent car like that for that money. As he stated, the top alone is big money
I am in Fort Worth about 40 miles from the car and tempted to go look at the car but no way I can buy another Buick at this time. I need to sell a couple and I don't think the wife would understand me buying another car
I love that car; I think it’s about as cool as you can get. I can’t add to the fleet right now, but I wish I could (or know the guy who did). Patrick
Is it still for sale? I think the silence usually means people are dialing rather than typing. I would have to call it a gift at that price if it is not a mud puppy. It does qualify as super rare if it is as described.
I believe he knows where the original motor is. The seller told me it could potentially be purchased along with the car (for more $$).
I went and looked at it and drove it yesterday. Buddy is going to look at it tomorrow or Tuesday then we make a decision whether to buy it. Odometer reads 23K miles which is 123K based on wear and tear. Dash and interior door panels need work. Paint is a 5 footer as it was repainted after a quick cleaning/sanding. Inside doors, jambs, trunk lid underside, etc not painted but original maroon color. Top is new and looks very nice. Saw a receipt for new master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brakes, battery, tune up plugs, etc. Engine compartment looks like 123K miles. Owner has a dash bezel to replace on in car that has been drilled and aftermarket gauges put in. This is a low option car, no PW, A/C, etc. Drives OK, but vibration when releasing clutch. Wheels need work, rechrome and paint, Owner has extra chrome for body, manifold and 2 four barrels meant for 425 engine. Overall I think it would take $10K to make it a show car, (not concours) and very nice driver. Basically the car is tired but if one wants to invest the dollars could be a very nice driver/show car. Probably sold by end of the week as he has two out of state buyers making their decisions in the next several days. Priced right based on work to be done.
Not sure anyone did yet. Several Buick guys looked at and passed. Needs a lot of work and not the original engine.
