Wonder if the guy has the paperwork for the dual quad install. That would be cool and that he knew what he was doing back in the day when he ordered it.

Yeah - that's a strange ABQ photo, having been there many times. And it's a one-owner car without any plates and the one older photo that may have it licensed just happens to cut off the front plate (if the state uses one). Lots of strange things going on with it as a one-owner car.

Pics #10 and 18 could be NM. Ad says the car was raced in NJ, explains the trees in the background.
Some engine pics show stamped steel valve covers, other show the cast alum.
The pics apparently cover a range of locations and changes over the years. It's still a lot of $$ for a GS in it's present condition. Would be a cool car to restore, but good luck dealing with the cantankerous old fart that's selling it.

I live 80 miles from Albuquerque and the landscape in the first 2 photos doesn't look too common. But it's not all dessert here either. We don't use front plates in NM. I don't have any personal knowledge about the car or the owner.

The first few look the most recent, but the least like ABQ, and there aren't rears either. I guess the question is what do current condition photos look like. I'm assuming someone will contact him and not offend him to the point of being an update to the listing.

The background in my avatar is central AZ, which is more representative of landscape in the ABQ area than the trees and lawn, though. The altitude is about the same at around 5000' of high desert.

Not familiar with the scenery but nice detective work guys. If I had the cash I would be heading down there with a truck and trailer , a handful of Benjamin's and a bottle of good whiskey and pay the guy a visit .

There're two sets of valve covers in the engine photos. Steel and aluminum.

I'd love to subject that car to my OCD and "might as well" disease

Different air cleaner too. Is that a switchpitch switch with the dual 4's?

Yup, and that makes it highly unlikely that a dealer installed that dual quad setup

I'm going to say that there are two different engine pics, one from this car and, one from another vehicle. Some of the latter pics of engine bay are not from the original red car, you can clearly see above the fire wall and passenger fender are of a different color. Possibly had extra pics to fill in the ad or just got confused.

Sounds like something I would do - I'm confused most of the time!
