Looks like a good deal on a driver: https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/d/1965-buick-electra-225-sport/6615479058.html
That's a members car just posted..............http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/1965-buick-electra-225-sport-coupe.335302/
That's mine! Just realized someone probably picked it up on here as I've been posting it off and on on CL for a while. I should've just started on V8 because it seems no one wants these cars in my area (or at least ones that need a little work).
You're not the only one that's had that issue. A few years ago I wanted to get rid of the Electra and I couldn't give it away up here in Edmonton. Even now big boats like the Electra don't do well at all.
Sweet car, I like those older "Land Yachts"! Don't know if it was intentional in the pictures, but thought it was neat that there was a picture of a boat launch sign followed by a pic of the car with other boats on trailers in the background!
Haha, yeah it was! That's at the boat launch on Lake Washington in Magnusson Park (the old Sandpoint NAS). It's one of my go-to photo spots in my area. Marc, it's kind of sad, I knew these days would come eventually when most of the car folks coming up won't want to bother with the older cars unless it's something like an expensive Camaro or Mustang. Kind of a bummer, but hopefully will allow some of us who could never afford the nicer/rarer Buicks to be able to get some? It's a double edge sword. For this Electra, I think I will soon just give up and possibly put it on mothballs and build it in 5 years or whenever I can get to it. Sigh.
