Is it the car or the girl that's for sale?

For $35,000 I would want a good explanation why the vin tag is held on by screws!

Was a white top and Aqua midnight color combo by body tag also!

A couple of other things: it's not numbers matching and it's had the floor pan and trunk floor replaced. He does have a spare rebuilt engine that goes with it he says he has $5K into. Says he has $15K in chrome, the chrome looks nice but they should have straightened the front bumper BEFORE they chromed it.

As always, you guys are a fountain of knowledge. Gotta love the lowes sheet metal screws on the vin tag.

I would have been all over this thing in aqua :(

Well, for certain, the car which the data plate/body tag was originally attached to by Buick .... whether it was the same body it's screwed onto now is a totally different statement.

158 trim code is black bucket seats, another mismatch

Looks like it's worth about half he's asking price . Have you noticed all the 65 GS 4 speed cars never have matching numbers . Guessing to many teenagers got ahold of them .

He says he knows the original owner and the spare engine that goes with it is the engine that was in it new from the dealer. Not all cars made it out of the factory matching numbers. If a car came off the line and had an engine problem they changed the engine and it then didn't match. Still, it hurts the value.

0781ADFE-6708-4F9A-BFA8-D86D5E17A409.jpeg Many 4 speed cars were driven hard! , raced, saw to high of rpms! Like many muscle cars! The drive line shock and stress of a stick car is some times much more pronounced then automatics! On my 4 speed matching numbers 65 GS the frame was broken in half by the right body mount that sits at the front of the lower control arm!
