I just thought I'd throw this offer out if anyone is interested:

I'm looking for a 1965 Riviera. I prefer to have a running one with a 425 or 401, decent floors and trunk, power windows, AC, mostly complete interior. Body and paint doesn't matter too much.

I'd like to work out a trade for my 455. Here is some details on it:

1970 455, pro built with only the best parts from TA Performance such as timing cover, grooved cam bearings, Stage 2 AL heads, roller rockers, TA 310 cam, .030 over, SP1 intake, mini starter, shorty headers, ARP bots, Holly race carb, MSD dist. If TA said I needed it I bought it. Was dyno'd at over 500hp but would make more with a bigger cam. Also comes with a rebuilt TH400 trans. Less than 500 miles on engine and trans. I have about $15k invested.

I may (and I must emphasize MAY) be getting my hands on a '66 Riviera shortly which I would be happy to sell to you. I know it's not quite the same as a '65, but if you aren't too picky about the year, I think it fits quite well into what you are looking for.

It is indeed running and has a 425 engine. So far as I can tell from the pictures I received, the floors are in decent condition (though some of the carpeting is beginning to come off). I don't know about the trunk, I'm afraid, nor am I certain about power windows. I am, however, reasonably certain that the AC is intact, though I do not know whether it is in working condition. I must also confess some relief that the body and paint do not matter so much to you as it most definitely needs a new coat and there is a good deal of surface rust on the roof.

You can find the pictures I received here: http://www.mediafire.com/?rd1dmw2mtbpt1

I believe that about covers everything. As I mentioned, I don't actually have the car in my possession at this time (though, should you be interested, I would be galvanized to obtain it more quickly). In spite of this, I will try to answer whatever questions you might have.

    Cheers!

Thanks for the reply but I'm holding out for a 65. Got many parts for it already. Thanks though!

I recently purchase a 1965 riviera thats is going to need a total restoration but the guy that i bought from didnt have any info on it since he bought 4 years ago and he wasnt sure about what engine size that is in it (not running ) and lost keys , but I know the engine has a single 4 barrel carb an air cleaner has a decal 445 wildcat on it, I have look around and it can possibly be a 401 or 425. But i want to make sure before calling around to get pricing on a possible engine rebuild,
If anyone can help out ,thanks:pray:
