Now that I have a 4 speed car, my 65 GS auto needs to go to a new home. This is a numbers match, Florida car I bought in late 2004. It's a running driving car needing restoration. It has a current registration and insurance, and I drive it whenever possible.

In the spring 2011, the timing gears, chain, cover, and water pump were replaced. The original carb is long gone, replaced with an Edelbrock unit. The engine runs strong and smooth with no oil consumption or leaks. The previous owner told me the transmission was rebuilt, and I have the receipt proving it. There is a pesky, very slow coolant leak that I haven't found yet, but have narrowed down the possible locations. It can be driven long distances as it sits, although I'd replace the rear tires first.

Edit: I have now repaired the coolant leak, which was the O-ring between the water manifold and timing cover. I used two O-rings which has cured the problem. Today, Sept 7, I drove the car 50 miles with no problems. I am currently using the car as my daily driver until it either sells, or the snow arrives

Odometer now shows 59,800 miles, could be original, but I will not claim it be so. I do know the car was driven very little in the past 15 or so years. I've put on less than 4,000 miles since 2004.

The frame rails have absolutely no rust! Floor and trunk pans are solid, although the trunk pan shows evidence of a previous repair. Front fenders are solid, panels will require work. There appears to be rust under the vinyl top, and likely elsewhere on the roof and C pillars. Both bumpers have good chrome with no tweaks, dents or bends. Both tail light bezels are in excellent condition, the right side has virtually no pitting.

    Options include:
Factory air, all parts present and accounted for. System does not blow cold. Compressor is not seized and turns freely.
    Power steering
    Back up lights
    Buick Rally Wheels
Wheel well moldings in very good condition.
    Front and rear seat belts
    Soft-Ray tinted glass all around
    Convenience Group

It should have the remote exterior mirror, but this is missing. The car was born with a painted white roof, and Midnight Aqua lower body. Current color scheme was apparently done in the mid nineties. The paint is fading. The hood is from a 64 Skylark, and a good 65 hood goes with the car.

This is a good solid base for a nice driver car. For those used to dealing with typical northern rust, here's a nice change from that.

I have the original bill of sale, plus the original, albeit tattered, selling dealers document envelope, but no POP. I also have a few other parts which are negotiable.

Here's a couple of recent videos showing the car. Walk around, about 6 minutes long:

    Engine running, about 1 minute:

I have one more video of me driving the car, but cannot get it to upload. Will try getting uploaded later. If you want photos of specific areas, let me know. Sunday should be a nice day here, so I will take a bunch more.:beer

My absolute bottom dollar price is now $4,750.00 US. Located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Offering to V8, BPG and 65 GS members before trying ebay again. If the car doesn't sell at this price, I may consider selling parts off it. Had a close look at the wheel well moldings, and they're almost perfect!

Interested parties please post here first as per rules of this forum. I will not reply to PM's or emails unless you've posted in this thread. During the week, my internet access is somewhat limited. If you don't get an immediate response, that is why. I will try to check in more frequently as long as the car is available.

Here's a 3 minute video of me driving the car.

To the top. :Brow: I also replaced all four tires with good used ones on steel rims. This car can be driven any where.

If no responses by Sept 1, then it's off to ebay.

What kind of hassle is it to get a car across the boarder to the US?

And how far are you from the boarder?

Brian, check cbp.gov for that info. I'm on the road until Saturday, but recall that it's not much of a hassle to ship a car across the border. I live 60miles from Pembina, ND. Can't recall what taxes or duty, if any, might be involved at this time. Have all that at home on my desktop.:Dou:

Brian, I just spoke with a CBP agent at Pembina, ND, about 60 miles south of me about this. He says there is no special paperwork required, nor will there be any taxes, duty, EPA inspection or paperwork involved. In fact, the entire process at the border should take about 5 minutes, since all my ducks are properly aligned.:pp

The only thing is I CANNOT sell the car on US soil. The financial transaction must take place prior to getting the car to the border, especially if I were to personally bring it across. A completed bill of sale, plus proof of payment MUST be presented to the CBP agent in order to process the importation paperwork. Since I can prove this car was originally built in Flint, and sold new in Orlando, FL, there is no difficulty with bringing it back into America.

It's only fair to state there is an interested potential buyer from the 65gs site, so I am giving that person first shot.:TU: Should have a definite answer within the next 7 days.

No problem. That's ok by me. Hopefully the guy buys it from you. As I sit in my mess of 64-65 Buick projects I probably don't need another. 7 more days I'm sure I would come more to my senses.

I'm actually looking for a 64-65 F85/Cutlass at the moment or 64-67 Ford product.

Unfortunately, the potential buyer could not make it work for him. Therefore this car is back on the market. :3gears: I'll post some close up phots of the bumpers and tail light bezels this weekend.:TU:

If it was for sale prior to the car market taking a dump it probaby would have sold for 10K. I know I would have hit the buy in now button years ago for the number that was listed there for the instant sale when I was buying every 64-65 I could find and afford.

As Jamie states, the car did not sell on ebay. Had several tire kickers, but nothing serious came of those. It currently resides in my garage for the winter.

I've thought about relisting it, but will wait until spring, unless it move here first. :pray:The ebay BIN price is way, way way below what I have into the car. Maybe I will just part it out.................:puzzled:

Thanks for the upward nudge though.:TU::beers2:

If there is no sale by May 1st, I will probably make this car my summer daily driver, and park the Exploder, er Explorer.

Car is still available, now with lowered price of $4750.00 US. This is my absolute bottom dollar. If it doesn't sell, I may consider parting it out. :( :ball: :error:

It is currently my daily driver at least until it sells, or the snow arrives. :beer
