1965 Skylark Trunk Emblem

    How does the "Skylark" trunk emblem come off? Inside the trunk there are no holes to get to back and I don't imagine they stuck them on like now. Secrets?

    They're installed with barrel nuts so you'll have to pry it off. Be very careful with it because the pins break off the emblem easily. The best way is to use a sturdy putty knife and get as much of the putty knife under the emblem as you can. Pry it evenly rather than one side at a time, or alternate from one side to the other. Once you get it lifted up a little you'll be able to see the pins, then pry as close to them as you can get.

    Like Bill said there are nuts on the backside. Actually 3 of them.

    Where I'm at in the world no need to pry usually the rear body panel is rusty enough to fall right out.
