    Just got the October issue of the Buick Club Of America magazine. Few articles in the Bugle get my attention like this one did. There is a write up about a very special 65 Wildcat that attended the national in Ames Iowa.
    It was equipped from the factory as follows;

    • Convertible
    • 425 Super Wildcat (dual quads)
    • 4 Speed Tranny
    • A/C
    The original owner Bob Heaton, special ordered it in 1964. He still has it and drove the car 1850 mi from Washington state to IA for the show. Most impressive.

    That is my favorite story ever in the Bugle!
    I'm just a little biased though :beers2:

    Not only was it at the Buick Open in Puyallup in June, but it was also at the Portland OR Buick club's show in August in Vancouver WA. Beautiful car!

    You know, I was thinking the same thing after I read it and I'm not biased. I've never owned a Wildcat but one can't deny the attraction to this car and the story behind it. Add to that the guy isn't afraid to drive it. I suppose its in part because I associate with the mid 60s cars more than the older ones usually portrayed in the magazine.

    Very nice rare care! Did he restore it or is it all original?

    the article says he drove it until 1975 at which time it was getting tired so he parked it on blocks in the garage until 2007 when he restored it.
