There is a '66 Skylark in a local wrecking yard that has a good roof. If someone needed this item for their car, I maybe able to obtain it. The item would have to be picked up here in Hebron, KY and I don't want to crate it. Price seems to vary in this yard by day, weather, who you're talking to, etc so I don't want to say exactly how much they'll want...I want this part saved & used, not flipped, if I'm investing time and effort to help obtain it for you.
Brian are roofs in high demand? o No: I would think the only person who'd need a roof would be someone who had a tree fall on their car or a rollover accident. Anything's possible though. It's cool that you're offering.
If it where me and the car is going to get crushed soon and the price is cheap enough I'd pick it up and hang on to it, I've sold a couple roofs to guys that had vinyl top cars and those almost always look like swiss cheese
Hi Ken. Time is taking it's toll on these cars. They need sheetmetal you may have previously thought was not necessary. Rust just at the bottom of the quarters and fender dog legs is the new rust free. ou: That said, what we're looking at here will be the pillars and areas fwd and aft of the roof, which are a problem on a lot of these.
