According to Buick's 1966 sales catalog, there was no "Wildcat 340".

The 340 cubic inch engine came in two versions:

    1) Wildcat 350, with 220 hp. This had a two bbl carb and 9.0:1 compression. It was standard in LeSabres and was also in the 4400 series station wagons.

    2) Wildcat 375, like mine, with 260 hp. This has the 4bbl and 10.25:1 compression ratio. This was optional in LeSabres and Skylarks/Specials.

always like the fact that buick advertised torque on the air cleaner rather than HP
