That is so scammy. The trick is the "cash the check and send the rest to someone else" routine. The check is no good and by the time it bounces, you're already out the "difference" to the scammers. You might string them along just for kicks but do not do business with them.
I would bet the farm that that is a scammer. Probably from Nigeria. Man I hope you stay away from that deal. You could get majorly screwed! I love stringing them along for as long as I can. Waste there time. I have even started doing weird stuff with there email accounts..ie....opening up and ebay account in there name.....finding them a good gay porn website and signing them on the mailing list..etc etc. Have fun with it!
