    Hey guys,
This is my first post, I inherited a pretty nice 1966 Buick Riviera from my great uncle. He bought the car new it has 94,000 original miles.
I found this picture and fell in love with this car. So I just bought a set of the turbine hub caps on Ebay.

Do you guys know what tires are on this car? I really like them...can they still be found?

From what I understand the stock size is 225/75 R15

It has the ralley wheels on it now, but for what ever reason I like these hub caps more
Trying to make my car look just like this one. Mine is silver with black interior

    Thanks guys
    Ron

Welcome to v8buick and your very first post Ron !! :beer

The '66 Riviera is the first design of the 2nd generation Riviera, so you have inherited a pretty nice example of a great automobile.
Most people prefer the chrome plated wheels over the standard steel wheels, which you are going to need, to utilize those new/old deluxe wire hubcaps.
Narrow white wall 225 R15 tires are available from certain suppliers, but it may be easier to find H70-15 radials for the car which will also improve the ride and handling.
Let your fingers do the walking, and search the internet for the tires you want.

Check out the Riviera Owners Association (ROA) link in my signature to get more info on your Riviera.

    . . . and enjoy that '66 !! :TU:

    Thanks Rivman,
I'll look at the radials you are suggesting... sounds like a good idea.
I'm guessing the white walls are about 1"?

My hub caps showed up today... they are pretty good. One is a bit rough but I can keep an eye out on Ebay

    Ron,
Your `66 Riviera, if originally equipped with white walls, would have been delivered with a different tire than appears in the pic you posted. The original tire would have been a "triple white" or some folks call them a "tri-band" whitewall. Dont have a pic loaded on my laptop but if you do a Google images search I`m sure you will find one.
I believe Coker is reproducing a triple white but the size is larger than what came on your Riv. The stock tire size was an 8.45X15 which converts to between a 215/75 X15 and a 225/75X15 modern radial. If I were you, and you like the deluxe covers pictured, I would consider a red line tire. They were a no cost option on the GS equipped cars. It will look great with a silver on black car, just another opinion, good luck!

Diamondback Classics http://www.dbtires.com/ offers a 3 stripe whitewall in a 235/75 but if you call and ask I think they may be able to do same for a 225/75. They offer a great service and will make a whitewall in whatever width and location you want it. Great people to deal with and are very helpful on the phone. Caution the specialty tires for classics aren't cheap.....but what tires are these days.
