Hi all, After much arguing with myself, i've decided to sell my GS. The car is as follows: 1966 Skylark GS 1965 401 Nailhead (not original) T-10 4 Speed - (original the VIN matches) Blue Mist Poly Originally baby blue top (now black, color code on trim tag is F4) Black interior Factory A/C (not working) power windows (rear motors are weak) power driver bucket seat (don't know if this is original or not) radio delete option power steering power brakes 10 Bolt Posi (not sure of the ratio) clear title What i've replaced/repaired New Hays clutch/pressure plate/throwout bearing/and pilot bushing New Year One convertible top cylinders Fixed alot of 'Mickey Moused' stuff, i.e. choke thermostat setup backwards, lots of cleanup, etc.. What I know the car needs or has been done to it prior to my owning it. Quarter panels have been patched in front of the rear wheels on both sides, maybe behind also not sure on the rear part. Car will need a new core support or it needs to be repaired under battery transmission tunnel has been modified to accomodate a Hurst shifter Car has rust in the right hand cowl section, I don't know the extent of this as I have not had the fender off. upper dash panel has been replaced at some point (under windshield) Lower body chrome (under door etc) is missing (I have a few pieces but not all of them) Rear power window switches are missing, whoever redid the interior never even put the cutouts in the armrests. Heater blower switch is missing A/C is apart, compressor is not mounted (In a box, but new) Door panels appear to be incorrect, they are new but not the right pattern Top is not torn and no holes but whatever goes underneath (in the interior, tacking strips ?, should be replaced as it is dry rotted and fallling down) dash pad is cracked Small hole in driver seat back (self inflicted by myself with a screwdriver in my pocket) What I have I have a spare hood, and a cowl section from a hardtop car that is rust free Contact me for more information, car is located in Bastop, Texas. hackneyh@austin.rr.com Asking $8500.00 or possible trade for a 69-72 Skylark GS car (EDIT Hardtop or Convertible)
WoW, U have my car!!! of only 431 of them U are a rare guy to know, U said that was not the original engine and my car does not have an engine at all, I want to ask U, do U think the engine from a '65 Electra will work in there? What changes must I make?
