A nice one for someone that wants to redo absolutely everything. The LeSabre rear wheel moldings are a real turnoff on a 67 Wildcat. The nameplate on the trunk is clever. Anyone figure out what the pipe is that runs from the floor up the side of the kick panel and dash?
I hate to say this, but it’s close to what mine looked like once I got into it. I ended up using the LeSabre trim because the tire setup mandated it, and I like the exposed bling. I’d consider that car for parts, but not at that price. And I have no idea what the pipe/tube does.
On closer examination, the car has a spotlight on the A pillar in front of the drivers mirror. perhaps that pipe is some kind of mount for it. The old ones were just secured in the A pillar without a "pipe"
It's seen some happier days, that's for sure, but it's workable. It's in about the same condition as mine was when I liberated it from the wrecker. I like the colour combination on it, and when I was looking to do my car that was certainly in the running.
Yeah, someone should market that "WILDKITTY" or better yet "WILDPUSSY"...I used to have a license plate frame on the back of my convertible which said "This is the Cat's A$$". Yeah, I know, kinda low-brow, but when you're 26 years old it seems funny...
Joe arent you running 17x 10 rear? I ran that on my old 67 and could do skirts it was tight and a little backside trimming but they fit.
I bought some parts from a guy in Bracebridge Ontario and he had a 67 Wildcat with vanity plates that read FRL KTY
Yup, but the offset puts about 3/8” between the sidewall and the lip of the opening. At the bottom attach points, the tires come out to where I couldn’t mount the skirts at all. Not that I’m complaining; I love the look.
Actually, that colour without the skirts doesn't look bad; - and the LeSabre trim adds a bit of definition that would otherwise be lacking...not bad...
