Thanks - Its a nice piece and I think the price is right. The owner told me it was a 350 and the decal states 350. Of course it could be wrong. I have to be honest, I have no idea how to decode a Buick engine. I don't know where to look. ou:
Buick Skylark Recently a 67 Convertible Skylark matching numbers car went on ebay at $9000 opening bid. It was a number 1 or 2 car and did not get a bid. The skylarks are not getting what they deserve. Good Luck
The 350 has siamesed exhaust ports ( EIIEEIIE ) and the 300 and 340 do not ( EIEIEIE ). If that makes sense. And I think the 300's valve covers are more "upright" similar to a nailhead. I agree on the Skylark's low values. I paid $6700 CDN for mine and a Chevelle in similar condition would have be double that. Good luck, Brian
1967 Skylark for sale I saw the car in person today in Rhinebeck NY, Car corral, he was asking for 13,500.00 or best offer, I was told that it was a 350, the engine was a 340 with the wrong air cleaner on it (350 decal), the engine looked like it never been out of the car. Car has some issues, but nothing that a good cleaning will not take care of.
Your right, that was the same car. We sold it up there. I did not know how to tell the difference of the motors. The owner of the car thought it was a 350 as well as the guy he bought it from. Believe it to not, that car was sold at Black Tie Classics a couple years ago for $17000! ou:
