My skylark is coming along nicely. I just put the primer and a coat of john deer blitz black paint on it this weekend after about a year of bodywork and lots of chrome deletions done in my garage. I painted it in my driveway so the paint is a mess from all the dust. (Just needed some paint on it to seal it so I could enjoy it the rest of the summer) However I'm going to sand it down to smooth it out and will do one more final coat of the blitz black over it all. Here is how she sits at present.
Jared, Looks great, man! You need to bring that thing to the track this weekend! :TU: I'll give ya a call.
I'm defintely game to take it to the track. She does seem to be running pretty quick. Although I wouldn't be suprised if it ran embarrassing e.ts without tires to put the power to the ground, and a good recurve and jetting setup. That also ignores the fact that I've never actually raced at a track before.
You should've headed over to Cayuga (Toronto MotorSports Park)!! They where filming 'Pinks" there on the weekend!!!!
Looks cool man! That's the first 4 door Skylark I've seen. I like the paint, that was my original plan. Let us know how she runs in the 1/4
Jared, it was good to meet up with ya and see the Skylark, and I hope we can do it again when the weather holds up. I'm thinking early September, on a Friday night. August is just booked solid for me. BTW, I stopped in at the local speed shop today, and they're able to get a mini-spool for me for $107. I may just have to pick one up next week. :TU:
