David, the seat is a 6 way and it does have the center armrest. The rip... if I remember correctly is in the center of the seat. Kinda weird, like the driver was cruising along the highway and then decided to stick a steak knife in the seat beside him. o No: Usually the rip is in the drivers part, but not this one. Alas, I see the chrome knob on the adjuster has broken off... still works though.
