Hello, I have a 68 Sportwagon. My grille is dying. Anyone have anything that will work? I don't want a show piece, something that will bolt in for a driver. Thanx.
I have a very decent 68 S/W grille, but I can't let it go yet... it's on my GS until I get my front bumper fixed up, then I'll install my GS grille. It may happen over next winter, don't suppose you can wait that long...
John, maybe if I remove my front bumper at the end of the summer, I'll force myself to get it sent out, and get my GS grille on the car. I paid $265 if I recall, will sell for $250 + shipping. It is not "perfect" but is very nice. It has 2 small crack lines in the upper mesh area, that were patched up and not highly visible. Also the front/center vertical area has some minor issues, but nothing that has prevented me from driving with it installed for the past 2-3 years. The top center plastic mounting boss also needs to be epoxied again. It was coming loose when I bought it, and needs to be redone again. PM your email address to me, and I'll snap some photos to send you if interested. I've probably made it sound like junk, but it's actually a very nice piece. Got it from Gary Paine, he can vouch for how nice it was at that time. It's in the same shape now as when I bought it.
