For those of you in Northern California, there is a '68 Skylark 4 door at the Pick n Pull in Rancho Cordova. The front sheetmetal is decent if you needed it bad, but the core support is pretty rusted. Good trunk lid and rear quarters. The interior is picked over pretty well. PM me if you need something in particular and I'll try to remember what's there.
Not in No Calif,but the next time you see the car, see if it has the tranny detent cable in it, I've been trying to locate one for a long time. If it does let me know the tel# and I'll see if they'll pull it and ship it to me. Thanks Gene
68 Never Had a Cable! The reason you can't find one for a 68, is that they never had a kickdown cable. A 68 would have had a 300 or 400 transmissiion and they both have electric kickdown. The 350 never came out until 69 and they are the only transmission of that time that had a kickdown. Jim N.
