It seems as though there's always someone looking for these. Saw this on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1961230200...CZ/BsCUzlU4USYb5k/I3F1LRoL|tkp:Bk9SR8bQ78KKYw Not mine, by the way...
I'm joking because the ad says they are GS400 hood hinges, but all of the hood hinges are the same AFAIK. I don't have good enough an eye to verify which year they are. I already have a tough area on my head from working on my '68s so I don't need any other hood hinges.
$239 is a little high, but last 2 sets that sold on here in parts for sale forum went for $130 and $160 in 2020. The $99 on first post above seems like an unusually good deal.
I saw those too on eBay... Not that I need a set or anything, but it seems someone is always looking for them.
I finally found some 69s a month or so ago from someone on list, so I didn’t buy these. I would have been tempted to pick up the $99 ones if I saw them in time, because that was such a good price. That’s how it always is it seems. I looked for over a year and couldn’t find any 69s. Then within 2 months, 3 sets have popped up.
That's the boat I'm in with the driver side armrest pad (in parchment color), except no used ones have popped up yet... LOL
I bought repopulated ones from YearOne. https://www.yearone.com/Product/196...70-1971-1972-Buick-Skylark-GS-Parts/AFP69M37P They didn’t fit exactly the same, but they look ok once installed. Eventually I might get originals recovered.
I've had those saved for a couple years now. I guess mine haven't bothered me enough yet to pull the trigger on them. That or there are always other issues that take priority.
Yeah. Couldn't resist. Need some degreasing, then soak in 9:1 water and molasses, paint and lube with D-321 R Molykote. But they are very tight and otherwise in excellent shape.
Here’s another set. Crazy that couldn’t find any for 2 years and now there’s been multiple sets come up in a short period of time. https://www.ebay.com/itm/404820716182
