Thanks Chris, disregard the post I just sent you. I rambled on a little to long. Just wondering how I can get in contact with the seller? Not good with Facebook. Anybody? Thanks. Larry.

Here is a picture from the inside of a 69 quarter panel.
The car was sitting like this one. I was able to salvage the outer wheelhouse.

I called him the other day we had a good talk about the car. He said he'd take 2k for it:eek: (bottom dollar) and would not part it out no mater what. He thinks the car is worth 30k to 60k restored because, well "that's what they bring". The floors are gone and the engine is wrong, don't know if it has a posi. rear or not:(. I think it only has parts value and is not worth restoring. I really only need a hood and driver's side door for a 69 project I have at home and the rest I need to sell off for parts. I'm heading back to Kansas in a few days (with an empty trailer) from Florida, and he's 3 hours out of my way and I'm trying to figure out if all this is worth the trouble or not? 'Comments Appreciated ' Larry.

It might bring $30-40K+ if one was willing to put $75-100k into it. I think there's some good stuff there (quarters, wheelhouses, fenders, etc.). Some must die so others can live.

I'm all in for the trunk trim!
Let me know when you get the car. :)

If the hood and shifter are good there is $2000 right there. Anything else would be essentially free.

Not quite free. There is value in busted knuckles, rust removal, PB Blaster and time.

apparently not many of you have ever removed or tried keeping a wheelhouse, trunk drop or 1/4 from a hulk like this. I know for sure I would try to save them, but man is there a ton of work involved.. And sweat, and blood loss and swearing...lol

Pretty much when parting cars, with some notable exceptions (e.g. a GS hood), you're giving the parts away for free. Parts cars are merely a means of getting paid for your time, albeit hopefully @ a decent rate.

If I had a '69 that was needing a resto I'd buy that Texas car, too. It's a nice donor. Restoring that one would be out of the question for me. I'm sure the PA car that BignastyGS posted just needs a buff and detail clean up work and some air in the tires.
