Im considering snagging one from a lady nearby, what should it be worth?

All original, upholstery shot, paint faded with some minor surface rust, but overall a quick resto job........dont know much about Buicks, always been a Ford guy so Im shooting in the dark.....thanks for any info.

    gs4u2c Is that a 442?

Depends if it's a 2dr or 4dr, 6 cylinder or 350, and what options it has. Pretty much a rust free body (2dr) I would say to be worth $1000 to 1500+ to a Buick guy. Specials obviously aren't typically loaded. But if it has A/C I would say that's a big plus. Some guys may pay more, I'm pretty cheap.

That's a tough one to answer with so little information.
I just missed out on one that was in pretty nice driver shape for just over $900.

Sorry about the lack of info, I havent been able to pop the hood on it yet, and the lady is a little unsure about all it has or hasnt got. Its a 2 door, and looks to have a/c controls, not sure if its a 6 or an v8. Manual windows, automatic transmission, factory radio is gone, bench seat in the front. Has 14" buick rally wheels on it.
All the trim is there and in pretty good shape, a ding on the nose of the front bumper and a few very minor dings on the drivers quarter.

Looks like I may have it. Offered the lady 1000 cash and she has accepted.................however..............she is very attached to the car and is having trouble letting go..........so, not in my shop yet. She has promised me this Thursday though. So Im trying to be patient. I was wrong about the year, it is a 68 Special Deluxe, 350 2V, auto, air conditioning, 83,000 original miles, factory 8 track......at least thats what she says, it does have the Buick name on the 8 Track so I assume it is. Has some dents on the passenger side but nothing major. Runs solid. Front seats torn up and needs paint, but all in all its in excellent shape. Ive always been a Ford guy but the looks of this car won me over. Cant wait to get started on her!

  6. 1000 sounds like a fair deal to me. Is it running? I wish I could come across something like that around here.

    Its home!

Too bad I need to work today, going to take a long weekend though and start going through her, she runs great, it pretty much is all cosmetic......and minor at that!

So, are there any Buick restoration part suppliers?

No, there are no resto suppliers. You will have to fabricate everything from scratch.

Just kidding, of course- there are several, depending on what you need. Interiors, engines, transmission, bodies, etc., all have different vendors that to a good job (and a few that don't). When you come across something that needs work, just ask the board. You won't be steered wrong here.

    Hey Chris,

What's the easiest way to get ahold of Jeff C?
I don't need him right now, but before I found the $300 Buick I tried his old email address to see if he had any good candidates for a street/strip car. I didn't get a reply.

I would just call him, his number on the website, and I think that is the best way to get a hold of him. I think the last email address I had for him was bad.
