1970-1971 GS hood question

    Can anyone give the going rate for a usable hood? Also with the exception of the inserts are the 70-72 hoods the same?

    Hi Steve. The '70-'72 GS hood are the same - though the hood lips are different and while '71-'72 had a pop up hood spring, the '70 did not.

    I'm looking at a 70 hood for my 71 but its pretty $$. What do you mean by the lip being different?

    >>The hood lip for the '70 accomdates the '70 grill. But you could easily swap the current '71 lip from your stock hood onto the '70 GS hood.
