I'm in need of a driveshaft for my 70 stage 1 4 speed. Mine is bent. I'd like to find a clean, straight one piece shaft. Assembly manual says 56" center to center. Thanks!!!
I'm thinking about having one made for my 69. The one in the car had been modified for use with an automatic. bleh
Hey Jason, Especially if you have a core, but maybe he's got one?!?! Give Bobby at Nassau Driveshaft a ring -- 516 - 867 - 3680... You, of course, can tell him that you are Craig Mobile Parts' Friend... Hope you had a happy holidays season!!!! Yours, Craig. P.S. -- He has a top of the line, high - falutin balancing machine.....
Jason, I often used the 4-door varieties and had them cut down. That way when finished they looked original. If you use the Buick versions, the front & rear universals were usually the big ones, so all that needed to be done was cut the shaft to size and re-weld the original larger front universal back on. Worked like a dream, and my buds usually gave me the driveshafts for free. It was another way to recycle parts. Duane PS. Don't forget to cut the front and rear universals off your bent shaft before you toss it. That is if they are the bigger style.
Reference- one is a 68 4- speed, other is 69 GS350/350 Same length but automatic has rubber isolation
Looks like a 56" shaft but it's a two piece. I need a one piece. Thanks for looking Tom. I appreciate it
