I think the piece you are talking about is called the trunk filler panel. Sherman & Assoc & also the Parts Place carries them. They are around $69.00 When I taked to the Parts Place they claimed they had passenger side quarter panels in stock, just not drivers side. I have managed to get a passenger side from a guy locally who had a spare but I still need the drivers side. Do you have contact information for the place in Canada, and how much were they. Thanks, John

Sounds like you need outer wheelhouse;it attaches to inner wheelhouse on one side and the quarter panel on the other side.

Sorry to highjack your thread here... Ok I now know i need the OUTER wheel houses and "Cross Canada" does not make one, its wierd they have the inner wheelhouse and the outer rear quarter but not the part that joins the 2 parts they provide??? They do however make the "outer wheelhouse" for a Olds Cutlass which uses the same inner wheel house as the buick, so does anyone know if the outer wheelhouse from a Cutlass is the same as a Buick. This is complicated i know....I'd prefer to buy them in Canada so I don't have to deal with border crossings and exchange rates. Thanks Gord

You will need outer wheelhouses from a 70-72 Skylark only as nothing else is even close. There is a article in one of the current car magizines of a guy modifying 70 -72 chevelle outer wheelhouses using only the outside lips portions to work on a 70-72 GS.This was done before the Buick outer wheelhouses were availible new and it was modify the chevelle lip portions or build from scratch[ Buick wheelhouse's just became availible in last 6 months] and is time consuming and a high skill level is needed to graft them on to fit.Would be much cheaper, faster, and a far superior fit and finish to use the correct Buick outer wheelhouse even if you have to pay duties and freight.

Interestingly they are part of Sherman. Cross Canada is part of the Sherman Empire,. and their Canadian identity. I have their paper catalogue in hand but it is 05. Good website though to see their stuff..

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

I just posted an update on the Repro Parts Section.

I have a contact at Sherman who is going to make rear 70-2 lower qtr patches. They are also going to make the front inner fender bracing.

I spoke to him about the full qtr skins......they have an order with a huge stamper that makes metal stampings for GM, Ford and Chrysler.

Sherman has 60 sets on order from them. He said they can stamp all 60 sets in 2-3 days. He expects them in 1 week to 30 days.

I will get an update on the other parts tomorrow.

The qtr skins are made in Detroit and should be available soon from this manufacturer thru Sherman.

Tabco is in financial trouble and apparently will NOT have the Skylark skins available according to my contact at Sherman.

Any update on the availability of the full quarter skins from Sherman & Assoc.? I called Cross Canada and they do have (4) Drivers side skins. When I asked if they would ship to the US, he told me to go thru Sherman & they can get them from him. So I guess I'll try that! Thanks, Gord

I was told yesterday by Cross Canada that the pass side rear quarters should be available in a week to 10 days? I think this is a standard back order answer....

FYI.. the driver side rear quarter I got does not extent as high up the roof line as a NOS GM one but is a fraction of the cost also so it'll have to do.

Thanks for getting back to me also Rusty.. outer wheel houses are on the way so I can finally get the sheet metal work happening...Gord

I called Sherman last week to see if he could get me the drivers side rear quarter from Cross Canada and they said they could, but when my body shop called today to place the order, they said that they are in stock at Sherman! So guys, better get'em while they last:3gears:

Got my left and right rear quarters from Sherman last night and they look great! Just need it to warm up here a little so I can start. Sherman says they had like 80 sets but they are going fast, so if you need them better call quick. Good Luck! John
