I am looking for a chassis and parts book that has more than just group numbers in it. I have the large Master body and chassis illustration book effective Jan. of 1973 but it does not do a good job of giving individual part numbers. Anyone know what book would have what I need? My 1960 buick chassis book has all the part numbers. Am I missing a book? I would appreciate any help you can give me.

buick01 it sounds like you have half of a two volume set. one book is the illustration catalog, the other is the chassis and body catalog that has the part numbers. i have a set like this dated 1975. i doubt you will find just the chassis and body catalog to complete your set. they seem to always be offered as a set. if you cant find the other book to complete your set, another good book is the master body parts catalog, also a two volume set. another is the buick special, apollo, & skyhawk parts catalog. i like this one, because it doesnt list full size cars. mine is one very big book. another often overlooked book is the dealer parts and acessories price schedule and history index. this book will pay for itself when you find parts on ebay or at swapmeets, where all you have is a part number and want to see if it fits a GS or not. it also tells you if a part fits other GM's or not, and the parts group. i use mine quite often and find its a big help. that book by itself wont tell you what any given part fits, but it will tell you the parts group, which makes it easier to look up in the other parts books.
