A guy I know that I have bought parts and cars from before has a buick electra with a 455 for sale. I am not a 100% on the year but I think he told me it was a 1970. I know it has been sitting a while and needs a new water pump. He is asking $500 for it. Car is located near Tuscaloosa AL (about an hour away from Birmingham) He told me he wanted to get rid of me and asked if I was interested, but I don't really have the time. I can try and get some pictures but I can't make any promises.
$500 for a complete car, let alone an Electra 225, needing only a water pump is a deal IF that's all it needs. At the very least, run a compression test and ask some very probing questions about the tranny, driveline, brakes, etc. :Smarty: Caveat Emptor...
So, I was wrong on the year, it's a 1967 4 door electra. Just out of curiosity, what is a running 455 worth and what is non-running 455 worth? Also is there really any interest or demand for the car itself (being a 4-door)?
If its a 1967, it will be a 430 from the factory, not a 455. Unless someone put a 455 in it. Then you would need to determine the year of the engine
Just joined V8 Buick,do you know if the car is still available? Todays date is 10/10/10. Anybody heard of any 1975 or 1976 Buick Limited,Park Avenues for sale? Im looking for these model years running or not running. Thanks
