Anyone know this car, may be originally from Maine?

Not mine, I have been talking to this guy back and forth. He is selling the car for someone.

He is admittedly not a car guy. There is no documentation on the rebuild of the engine. He sent receipts which only showed a repair on the engine after the current owner bought the car, with a recently rebuilt engine, major stuff (cam bearings, replace a rod, redo valves.
Then back in the shop months later (under warrenty), rod knocking, replace crank.

It is advertised as stage one specs but no documentation. He had an e-mail from the previous owner who stated he used the stage one valves, but no documentation (converted heads or original stage 1). No idea what tranny.
I would like to have the car but I am going around in circles with this guy. He is selling it on commission, no problem with that, we are just too far apart on negotiations.

So I thought I would pass it along.
