Genuine, Fully Documented by GS Historic Society, 1970 GS Stage 1 4 speed car. One of only 664 1970 GS Stage 1 4 speed hardtops built in 1970. Factory options: Stage 1 455, M21 Muncie 4 speed ,Power Disc Brakes, Power Steering, Tach and Guages, AM Radio, Bucket Seats, 4 Speed Consolette,14 x 6 Chrome Buick Rally wheels, G70-14 Redline Polyglas tires, Vinyl top, Remote mirror, Tinted windshield. See attached Pictures of GS Historic Society Documentation. Very Solid Maryland / Virginia car with good frame, floors and trunk pan. Car has 1970 Original Skylark Rustfree takeoff rear quarters already partially installed.Some rust in rear trunk filler panel weather strip trunk gutter. This car apparently was converted to an automatic within the first few months of it's life to an automatic back in 1970 . Engine is the Original however,block has been decked, engine, is tight, does not turn over .GS has a 69 Turbo 400 auto trans and Original 3.64 Posi Rear axle housing although posi is not present.Car currently has factory guages and rally clock, factory tach is missing.Firewall body tag was misplaced by previous owner but I have all information stamped into it, so another can be produced by trim tags inc.Wheels and tires on car currently are not included in this auction. This GS Stage 1 4 speed represents the Zenith of Buick Performance in 1970. Most 1970 Buick GS Stage 1 cars were factory equipped with AC resulting in a factory installed 3.42 posi rear axle. Only Non AC GS Stage 1 cars in 1970 received the stout 3.64 Posi Rear Axle like this car
Not hard at all, the registration part wasn't any extra work. You may have to pay a couple hundred at the border to have a broker take it across if you are using a transport company and the car owner isn't there. I bet Rich is familar with the process, given the number of cars he has taken in and out of the country.
Very easy to take car to US. Pick it up, when you cross back into US, go into US customs, tell them you bought an old car,they fill out an import sheet that costs you nothing,than after you are home, take Ontario title and import sheet to your local DMV and pay tax on selling amount and get new title from your state. Walk in the park. Really trying to find a buyer that will allow me to to do some restoration work on this car. Thanks Rich
It's amazing DL. Somebody asks me almost on a monthly basis if the the Silver/blue straight bench seat GS 455 4 speed car is for sale,everybody loves that car however,so do I.:grin:
