1970 Front disc brake drag reduction kit

    Bowling Green Customs and OMT used to sell a front disc brake drag reduction kits
    Both companies are no longer in business however, I am looking for one or more of these kits

    My guess is some sort of hold off to keep the pads off the disc, reducing the drag.
    I have heard of drag racers sticking to drums in front because of drag/friction issues.
    Not sure how this kit would accomplish this though.

    Must make an absolute imperceptible difference in 1/4 mile times.
    But if it makes them feel faster......:pp

    Harold that is basically it.
    Springs and shims to hold back pads off rotor for racing application

    There was a recent thread here about the very same thing. A guy was using small springs to back the pads away from the rotors. It was a set up he had put together,and he was using it on a drag car. Don't remember who posted it but it was within the last 2-3 weeks I think. Mike D.
