I will try this again until I find one I guess.. :(

I am looking for a 70 GS hood moulding in excellent shape. With no Pitting and nice chrome. I am looking for something for a high-end driver to almost show quality.

I will buy outright but I also have many 70-72 GS parts to trade also.

    Thanks
    Dustin

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

You won't find a nice one unless it is NOS. Send your original to AIH Custom Chrome to made to look like NOS. Visit www.buickperformance.com/vendors.htm for their contact info.

Cost is $100-150 depending on amount of blisters/pits. They do excellent work!

    George,
Thanks for the info on the chrome shop. But I would like to find a nice original one.

My car is a skylark that is why Im looking for the GS version since I dont have one to rechrome.

I know that someone out there has one from a southern car that is not that bad. I guess I will keep posting and looking on ebay. I will pay fair market value.

    ...got one.

Hi Dustin. . I have two 1970 GS hood trims. Neither of these two are perfect. Both need to be restored. One has only one stud broken off, but has some pitting issues, The other has two missing mounting studs, but minor pitting. However, missing studs shouldn't hinder the mounting, I believe the other studs will hold on well enuf. I'm certain I paid more than what I'm asking, $160 for either one. Both are straight and I would say are easy candidates for Georges suggestion for an AIH rechrome. Let me know. O'BTW. . I still have a newly restored & rechromed 70 Skylark hood trim available in case someone needs one! ITS GORGEOUS! Wheelz, :bglasses: Tampa Bay
