1970 GS sport mirror mounting bracket

Hi All,

I am in the need of the mounting bracket and screws for a sport mirror for a 1970 GS. My car is actually a GSX but I think the brackets are the same. I can take a picture and post it if you need to see the actual bracket I am in the need of.

Thanks I did not know that. Any one have a bracket with an X they want to sell?????

Here are pictures of my mirror brackets. This is a repair made by the Buick dealer where the car was purchased. Hard to believe they would do work like this. Any way I am looking for a replacement and I think they are right and left handed. Jim

 

Cheers 71-72 brackets will work, also gto ,cutlass ,Camaro they used different gaskets to fit the different cars.The 70's had an x because they were the only Buick that year to get a sport mirror.You can probably find a repro good luck

 

Thanks, The Parts Place does carry repro brackets.

 

You may have to trim the hook end of the bracket. Some have a smaller point,and some have a larger,flatter point. You just need to make sure it slides up inside the base. If it hangs out,you will never get it tight to the door.
