    Thanks for the insight, Jim.

It appears to be a very rare, early, front seat belt delete car. You just take the crap off the mirror and clip it to your pants belt, I guess. That's all I need to see to know the car needs a LOT more than you would think it does. 47K + that car wouldn't pass inspection in MA.

I looked at this car closer, just for fun. It seems like the window cranks aren't right, the ww washer clearly doesn't work. The cruise definitely doesn't work, it's missing parts! Yeah...it's a time capsule all right. It's a money pit, I can guarantee it....been there...done that!

I looked the car over today and spent an hour with the owner. Some of what I found has already been mentioned and here is an "all in one place" list of what takes this car out of the league of survivors. If it has 24, 000 original miles, my '71 has 5,000!

Wrong radiator cover (emission tag is from a 350) - Owner says he has the cracked plastic original one
    wrong radiator
    wrong brake master cylinder
    after market battery cables
    Not '70 rallye wheels
Car was an original bench seat/column shift car. (Owner confesses to having converted it to buckets)
Seat belts not reinstalled in front after conversion
    new exhaust system with Flowmasters.
Rallye steering wheel added with the bucket seat conversion. (hub is black instead of saddle color)
VIN sticker missing from driver's door. Owner says he has it and got it when he bought the car and doesn't know if it's had any paint work.
Rear bumper is original/front bumper is a replacement
Owner says grill is an NOS piece, not original
    A/C not working
    Cruise Control not working
Owner says when he bought it in 2000 he disassembled the motor to " make sure it was in good shape". Says he honed the cylinders, replaced bearings and put it back into the car. Why would he do this on a 24,000 mile motor?

On the plus side the car starts right up, idles smoothly, drives smoothly. And it is numbers matching with a build sheet. Could use some paint touch-up and a bumper re-chrome. It was probably a basic GS455 when new since no gauges, no buckets, no F41 suspension, no rallye wheel package.

At least my car is all legit.
    And Chris can verify that.
Yeah it has an aluminum radiator but I got the original one also the original master cylinder.....ahh nice

Maybe some day you will post some pics of your new car, lol!

Big difference with yours and this car, is you bought it from the original owner and he knew exactly what had been changed. This guy didn't get the car until it was already 30 years old, and then changed a bunch of stuff too. It probably had 100k+ on it when he got it.
