Cincinnati Ohio, 3 hour drive and it sounds cheap. Might have to call also.

I talked to Joe today. He sounds like a very nice guy to deal with, problem being the car went from 20's to 42,000. He says it is a #'s Stage car but it has a 12 bolt under it. Didn't think GM offered a 12 bolt in Buick in 70. Even if it went to Canada. Tom

I had tried to get in touch with him for a couple days. He did call me back this afternoon and was with his dad. Still no excuse for the jump in price. All i can say is buyer beware.I wouldn't trust him after what you told me.The car is all yours and good luck. Tom

This car is up for sale again, on Facebook, for $47k, parts not included but can be purchased separately. Looks to be owned by Andy's ("Ebling" v8buick member id) dad, you can contact Andy for more info.

The FB group is "closed", so not sure the link will work for everyone. https://www.facebook.com/groups/741047696027064/permalink/951275741670924/

    Posted by Andy:
My father is putting his 1970 Buick GSX Stage One car up for sale. This car was last on the market in 2007 or so. This is an unrestored GSX with all matching numbers and original components to the car (engine, auto transmission, 3.64 rear end, distributor, carb, etc) and has been verified by the GSX Historical Society/Wayne Roberts as being the 165th produced and sold new at dealer no. 09-149 / Borcherding Buick in Cincinnati Ohio with an invoice date of 4/14/1970. It shows 00209 miles and has the original body broadcast sheet, showing its build date as 3/6/1970. There have been 3 previous owners. He has some stock of 1970 date coded rust free sheet metal that is also available separate from the car. The car does have rust in the usual places and would need a full restoration. The engine has not run since the 1980s, though is not stuck. All GSX specific items are present and accounted for, and being an original Stage One non-Air GSX, it's a pretty great candidate for a concourse restoration.

I remember talking to the local guy that had it a long time and knew of the GSX's history from day one. While Andy has been on this thread, he hasn't posted in 5 years! For those of you not familiar to the area, Borcherding is still in business near King's Island Amusement Park north of Cincinnati.

Just want to clarify this post as it is misleading. All 1968 and 1969 Olds & Buick A bodies built at the Oshawa assembly plant in Ontario Canada used the Chevy 12 bolt as their exclusive rear differential. It was not 1969 Only.

Someone else stated if it WENT to Canada which was also wrong. It had to be built in Canada and only in 1968-1969.
