I'm looking for a right front fender for my 1970 LeSabre 455. Prefer NOS, but I'd consider a perfect used (no dents or rot) if the price is right. Also looking for a trunk lid. Mine was damaged in storage and I'd rather replace than repair. Any help greatly appreciated.
Your 2 hours S.E of me. I'll check for the parts you need.I can walk into the woods and be in Canada.
Jarrod: Sorry about that! I didn't look to see that you were also in Northern NY. I always have to give an explanation of where I live because most people only know Buffalo or New York City! When I tell people "an hour south of the Canadian boarder," they usually understand. Do you have NOS pieces?
No need to apologize I know what you mean. As for Nos piece's...... No I do not have those.I do have a car that we got out of Florida and I'll see if it has the parts you are looking for are any good. Your Avatar car looks good. I love the Big Buicks. Had quite a few of them and still have to really nice ones. 69' Duece and a Quarter ,4-door and a 70' Wildcat 2 -door. Both cars are excellent examples of good clean american iron.
Thanks for the compliment. My avatar is actually what my car looked like prior to storage. I hoping to post some additional pictures as soon as I can scan them. It really is a beautiful car and I want to get it back in shape. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I posted info in the "Introductions" section of the board when I joined a few days ago, but here's the short version. Basically, I put the car in storage 19 years ago and it was probably the mistake of my life. There's rust where there never was rust before, and just cleaning up the mess that 19 year old gasoline has made has been very time consuming. It was almost unbelievable that gas could turn to something like driveway sealer. It was almost solid in the gas tank! Not to worry, though, because I have every intention of bringing my lady back to what she was before. I'm planning on posting pictures (like the one in my avatar) of what my car was and what it will look like again. I just need some time and quality parts.
wrong side but maybe an extra someday. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=34204&item=2492468475&rd=1
Based on my experience what used to be oil in the oil pan now looks something like an asphalt driveway on a hot day. If you do not work out something I may soon be buying a 70 Electra I am going to part out. I am located in NC.
Paul, I forgot to mention I was talking to another guy about your car and he said he might be able to find your trunk lid. He'll keep me informed.
Jarrod: Thanks for thinking of me! I may just get that fender on e-bay for a spare because I've also been looking for the chrome on that fender! This way I get the fender for future use and the chrome to use now! Is this the going price for a fender? Price seems high and then add shipping. Have to think about this one. If you come up with a trunk lid, please let me know. BTW - Send you a PM... Paul
Reasonable price? Can anyone tell me if the price for this fender is reasonable? Jarrod gave me the link on a previous post, here it is again... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=34204&item=2492468475&rd=1 Just wondering what I should be paying for a fender for my car. Thanks! Paul
Local yard got in a super clean 70 Wildcat 4dr. Will it have the same trunk lid as yours????? It is spotless. Here is a pic of the fenders I got, excellent! They are for sale.
